a "real man" gets the girl.

Movies commonly conclude with the storybook ending where the protagonist "gets the girl". This expression normalizes women as possessions that can be "got" and "owned". Our society objectifies women for sexual gratification, and this messaging infiltrates everything, whether it be social media, video games, music, movies, and most devastatingly — easily accessible pornography.

UNIT 5 trains young men to understand the difference between those who want to "get the girl" and those who want to understand girls, or as the expression goes "get" them. It's true. Women are complicated, but society substitutes understanding what God's Word prescribes for healthy relationships with artificial simulations, and selfish sexual gratification. The GODLY MAN seeks to understand women with Biblical attitudes towards dating, marriage and sex.

Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body.

God has designed sex for marriage between one man and one woman for life. The GODLY MAN finds his contentment in the condition that he finds himself, pursues personal purity and saves himself for the virtuous woman of Proverbs 31, and patiently waits for God’s timing. A man who ignores God’s ways, sins against his own body, and will suffer the consequences, some of which are lifelong.
